Why are you taking it for the first place? Is it your personal choice? Or someone’s wish? These questions are simple but it will lead you to the right track. How dedicated and serious are you gonna be in matters  like this. To start, it is very normal to get anxious and get so stress in the process.  You will have mixed emotions. You will sometimes over think about it. Positive and negative thoughts are always present. You know passing or failing the test are the only options. It is like a gambling game, you lose or you win. Now, lets break it down 1. Are you confident enough? The main key here is if you are comfortable to study on your own or enroll in a review center. If you are then self study but if not do the other one. Note: Even if you either self study or enroll in a review center but do not find enough time to really read and do practice tests, then you might work on improvising  a routine. At least 2 hours of reading and understanding the review materials you

Bantayan Island

Image
Bantayan Island is really a beautiful place to go visit. It has fine, white sandy beaches. In Sta. Fe, a town of Bantayan is where you can find foreign and good restaurant. It is where you can find the Odong Cave, the cliff jumping area, and where most tourist stays. In my own understanding, ''Bantayan" in Cebuano/Visayan dialect means to look over, to watch or to take good care of something or someone. If you go there, you will see some people on the street picking up trashes. It is very clean and people there are trying to keep their surrounding tidy. Some store don't use or minimizes using sipping straw or plastic to save our nature. Practice Teaching Orientation at CTU Main Campus

PRACTICE TEACHING ORIENTATION WITH DR. ELPIDIO MELGO During the  orientation, Dr. Melgo was really direct to the point. He seemed to be naggy but in a sense of challenging us, the student-teachers. He told us the things we need to do when we are in our chosen area or school. One of the major thing I remembered was to be good, to do your best and do your responsibility as a student-teacher accordingly. For me his style of approach was reverse psychology. Like for example, in complying all our requirements after we finished our practicum, we should not submit only one or two evidences, especially if your grade is  1+.   He taught us how to be respectful to our mentor/s, to the school staffs and administrators, to the students and to the principal.  Aside from it, showing of gratitude is a great way of thanking them.  Thank you so much Dr. Melgo for all the teachings I've learned from you! Thank you for believing in us, in our potentials! Thank you for giving your blessin

Ramon Duterte Memorial National High School's (RDMNHS) Earthquake Drill

Image
Earthquake drill is very important. Teaching it is crucial especially to the students so that they will know what to do when there is an earthquake. Ramon Duterte Memorial High School in Guadalupe Cebu City was demonstrating to the students the important things to do when there is an earthquake. They assigned boy scouts and girl scouts representatives to make sure that the rest of the students are participating and teachers also where there to facilitate. The three steps are as follows: Dock, Cover, and Hold. It is important to instill in the precious minds of our beloved students to remain calm and to avoid panic whenever this kind of calamity is being encountered. In times like this, the presence of mind and the strong will to remain safe should be or first reactions.  I have learned from my review center, MET and from the speaker Knoe Esmane, that teachers should be the first person to go out the building after the earthquake stops to guide the student in the right dire

First day in Practice Teaching It has always been my dream to become a teacher. Whenever I am in front of the class discussing or teaching a lesson/topic, I am always fascinated in the diversity of the learners. It is amazing to see them everyday. Some students may not look at you when you are talking. They might be rocking their chairs, looking down, facing the opposite direction, drawing or something else, but it doesn't mean they are not learning. The most common types of intelligence  in students are verbal, auditory and kinesthetic but there are still more:  http://web.cortland.edu/andersmd/learning/MI%20Theory.htm I  lived in Cambodia from 2013 until the middle of 2016. I gained experience  teaching there. I taught Grades 1 to 6 basic English and also Grade 7 and 8 conversation and business English. I had a really good time. I moved back to the Philippines to pursue my studies. I really wanted to become a professional teacher. I graduated with a  Bachelor of A
