Danao City is great! They have a very clean atmosphere. They have an actual sidewalks. The people were nice and friendly. |
We stayed at Elsalvador. It is a very nice resort located before the main city. It is right directly in front of Sabang Elementary School. They have different functions or events catered. We stayed there from Wednesday until Friday. It was so funny because at first we were lost. We took a taxi to get there. Usually taxis are metered but it depends on your destination. In our case we paid PHP1100.00 from Happy Valley to Danao. What was humorous about our trip is that our taxi driver was really nice and accommodating but he doesn't know how GPS works. He turned on the GPS but I guess he wasn't paying attention or maybe is not yet familiar in it. (Maybe as a driver it is a MUST to know how to take the passengers to where they want to go). Like me, honestly I am not good in giving or getting directions. However, once I am familiar with the place, boom I got it! (And I am working on it. I think it is a very useful and crucial skill to know directions!) And also our phones doesn't have credits so we were just enjoying the ride and the road viewing. We were about to enter Carmen when the taxi driver realized we are out of the way or we have missed the Elsalvador. But good thing about it was we were able to have a tour in the city, joy ride.
Our initial plan was to wake up early in the morning, take a taxi to North Bus Terminal, and then take bus or jeepney to Danao which is possible. However, change is unchangeable. We had a really fun stay in the resort. When we were there there were weddings, functions and seminars, team buildings or outdoors activity in every single day. It wasn't chaotic as you think about it. They have two nice pools. One for adults and one for kids. There was a jacuzzi but it was a cold jacuzzi. If you like to swim in the beach, it's just few walks away or literally right at the very end of the hotel.
They have a restaurant. It was amazing. We have a free breakfast, and olala it was a buffet. That was the first time as far as I remember to have unlimited ripe mango fruit displayed on the fruit section. There were other fruit too like watermelon and pineapple. The foods were great. In the main courses, the tinolang Shrimp, fish fillet, were my favorite and oh don't forget to order the vegetable salads, it's awesome.
On our way back e took a big jeepney, smaller than a bus. From Sabang to UCMed we paid PHP100. Sweet!
And of course here are our captured memories!!!

We were surprised to know that from Elsalvador to City Mall was only PHP8 and take note that the distance was 2 kilometers. |
